Datacom Product Manager

About the role

Huawei Uganda is seeking a Datacom Product Manager to lead the planning, design and delivery of data communication solutions for enterprise customers. The role bridges customer requirements, technical architecture and commercial strategy to ensure successful project execution and market growth.

Key responsibilities

• Guide customers through requirement analysis and design customized datacom solutions, focusing on SDN, SRv6 and security compliance.
• Lead end‑to‑end project execution: pre‑sales site identification, solution design, competitive pricing, and implementation monitoring.
• Develop and manage product pricing models, profitability targets and win‑win business proposals in collaboration with account teams.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer network evolution to identify growth opportunities for datacom products.
• Plan and deliver brand‑building activities such as executive summits and technical seminars.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in product management, engineering or consulting within the telecom sector.
• Strong understanding of telecom networks and datacom product portfolios.
• Proven experience in solution sales and ability to act as a liaison between customers, R&D and delivery teams.
