About the role
Fox News Digital is seeking a full‑time Digital Production Assistant to support breaking and trending news coverage. You will work in a fast‑paced newsroom, creating multimedia content for FoxNews.com and FoxBusiness.com while collaborating closely with reporters, writers, and editors.
Key responsibilities
- Produce multiple multimedia articles and wire stories daily under tight deadlines.
- Shoot, edit, and package video, photo, and other visual assets.
- Conduct background research and verify information via phone and social media.
- Support high‑profile breaking news stories with live blogs and digital storytelling.
- Create engaging online quizzes tied to trending topics.
- Incorporate SEO requirements and editorial edits into published pieces.
- Act as the primary point of contact for reporters and editors for multimedia needs.
Required profile
- Strong writing background, preferably with reporting or research experience.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in a news environment.
- Willingness to work weekends and occasional holidays.
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn new tools.
Required skills
- Experience with SEO best practices.
- Proficiency in a content management system, preferably WordPress.
- Competence in Adobe Photoshop for image editing.
