Economic Recovery Coordinator

About the role

The Economic Recovery Coordinator will provide technical support and coordination for DRC Uganda’s economic recovery programmes, covering food security, livelihoods, market systems and financial inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advisory and coordination for economic recovery programmes across core sectors.
• Lead development and rollout of technical strategies, SOPs, guidelines and capacity‑building activities for implementation teams and partners.
• Represent DRC in sector coordination forums, engage donors and government, and drive fundraising and partnership opportunities.
• Support programme managers in recruitment, MEAL processes and monitoring of cash and voucher assistance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in humanitarian economic recovery, food security, livelihoods or financial inclusion.
• Master’s degree in political science, international development, economics or a related field.
• Previous experience in refugee response in Uganda and strong knowledge of Core Humanitarian Standards.

Required skills

• Cash‑based assistance programme design and implementation.
• Market assessment and analysis.
• Programme planning, budgeting and proposal development.
• Technical advisory and capacity‑building for field teams.
