Education Officer (NO-2) – Temporary Appointment

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an Education Officer (NO-2) to support the expansion of quality education and skills development for children and adolescents in Uganda. This temporary appointment will work closely with schools, local authorities and partners to create inclusive pathways from learning to earning.

Key responsibilities

• Support programme development and planning for education initiatives.
• Manage programme implementation, monitoring and delivery of results.
• Provide technical and operational support to field activities.
• Build and maintain networks and partnerships with government, NGOs and community groups.
• Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building within the education sector.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Economics, Sociology or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience in adolescent development, education programme planning, monitoring and evaluation, partnership development or related areas.
• Fluency in English.

Required skills

• Strong communication and planning abilities.
• Experience in partnership building and capacity development.
