Education Officer – Transferable Skills Programs

About the role

The Education Officer will support the effective implementation, coordination, monitoring and institutionalisation of Transferable Skills programmes—including Life Skills, Digital Skills and i‑UPSHIFT—in schools and TVET institutions across the SouthWest region. The role involves providing technical support, training, mentorship and stakeholder engagement to ensure high‑quality delivery and sustainable adoption of learner‑centred approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation, coordination and monitoring of Transferable Skills programmes—including Life Skills, Digital Skills and i‑UPSHIFT—in schools and TVET institutions.
• Provide technical support, training, mentorship and stakeholder engagement to ensure quality assurance and institutionalisation of the programmes.
• Collaborate with teachers, trainers, government counterparts and partners to integrate transferable skills into curricula and promote learner‑centred approaches.
• Monitor programme results, assess impact on youth employability, entrepreneurship and digital literacy, and support capacity‑building initiatives.
