Event Coordinator

About the role

The Event Coordinator will join KASANA EVENTS LTD in Kampala to plan, organise and deliver live entertainment experiences that showcase African creativity. This full‑time, on‑site position works closely with local talent, partners and vendors to ensure each event runs smoothly from concept to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage event timelines, budgets and logistics for live shows.
• Coordinate with venues, performers, suppliers and sponsors to secure services and equipment.
• Prepare event documentation, track expenses and oversee set‑up and breakdown activities.
• Handle attendee communications, on‑site operations and post‑event follow‑up.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote events and drive ticket sales.
• Participate in team meetings, contribute ideas for process improvement and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in event planning or related hospitality/entertainment roles.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Customer‑service mindset focused on delivering positive attendee experiences.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as event schedules demand.
• Relevant diploma or degree is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets).
• Familiarity with event management tools and ticketing platforms (advantageous).
