Fashion & Design Tutor

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Fashion & Design Tutor to join KCI Institute. The role involves delivering engaging lessons in fashion design, guiding students through creative projects, and maintaining a dynamic learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update curriculum, lesson plans and learning resources aligned with industry trends.
• Conduct lectures, workshops and practical sessions covering sketching, garment construction, textile science and design principles.
• Provide mentorship, constructive feedback and career advice to students.
• Demonstrate traditional and digital design techniques and tools.
• Assess student work through projects, examinations and provide timely feedback.
• Collaborate with faculty to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in Fashion and Design; a Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Proven industry experience with a strong portfolio.
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience in fashion design or related subjects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
