Finance Manager

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Finance Manager to support a unique U.S. Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The role leads financial operations, ensures fiscal compliance, and provides strategic guidance to meet program objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting and forecasting to align with program goals and approved budgets.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Government regulations, company policies, and contractual requirements.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and financial close activities.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and government stakeholders.
• Monitor cash flow, expenditures, revenue, and overall financial performance.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and address audit findings.
• Mentor and develop finance personnel to promote professional growth.
• Collaborate across departments to support mission success and financial accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in financial management or accounting, preferably supporting government or defense contracts.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Knowledge of U.S. Government financial regulations, including FAR and DFARS.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of financial management systems.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
