Financial Advisor

About the role

The Financial Advisor will join ICEA LION Uganda’s client‑centric team in Kampala, providing tailored insurance, pension and investment solutions. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on helping individuals and businesses achieve both short‑term and long‑term financial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with clients to assess financial objectives, risk tolerance and current financial situation.
• Develop personalized financial plans and recommend appropriate insurance, pension and investment products.
• Prepare and present proposals, explain product features and benefits, and follow up to review and adjust plans.
• Monitor market trends and product performance to ensure optimal client outcomes.
• Maintain accurate client records and collaborate with internal teams for smooth policy and investment administration.
• Participate in outreach and sales activities to expand the client base.

Required profile

• Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and long‑term relationships.
• Proven ability to meet targets, manage time effectively and work independently or within a team.
• Relevant academic background in Finance, Economics, Business or related field; professional certifications in financial planning are a plus.
• Previous experience in financial services, insurance, investments or advisory roles preferred.
