Food Court Manager

About the role

Amentum is seeking an experienced Food Court Manager to oversee daily operations of a Navy‑supported food court. The role is based in Kampala and will ensure the facility meets U.S. Navy food service standards while delivering high‑quality meals to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of food court operations to guarantee smooth and efficient service delivery.
• Supervise, schedule, and train food service staff, ensuring compliance with Navy food service standards.
• Maintain accurate financial reporting and adhere to Navy accounting systems and protocols.
• Oversee food preparation processes, guaranteeing they meet Navy guidelines and customer expectations.
• Monitor sanitation and safety standards, implementing formal sanitation training and safety protocols.
• Control inventory, procure supplies, and maintain adequate stock levels.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop nutritious, cost‑effective, and appealing menus.
• Collect and act on feedback from customers and staff to continuously improve service.
• Prepare operational reports, including sales data and performance metrics, for leadership review.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience managing Navy food service operations.
• Knowledge of Navy accounting systems and food service compliance requirements.
• At least one year of formal education in food service preparation.
• Formal training in sanitation practices and related safety protocols.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with excellent communication skills.
