Forward Deployed ML Engineer

About the role

Triomics is building AI agents that automate the extraction of oncology data from unstructured medical records. As a Forward Deployed ML Engineer you will design, implement, and deliver end‑to‑end extraction pipelines that turn complex patient charts into structured JSON for pharmaceutical partners and cancer hospitals.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build agentic pipelines that process large multi‑page patient charts (clinical notes, pathology reports, imaging, genomic panels).
• Define evaluation datasets, run precision/recall analyses, and iterate on model prompts, fine‑tuning, or rule‑based post‑processing to meet accuracy targets.
• Read actual patient charts to understand oncologists’ documentation practices and resolve ambiguous data points.
• Collaborate with clinical annotation teams to create gold‑standard datasets and address edge cases.
• Work closely with customer data‑science and clinical teams to clarify dictionary definitions and close accuracy gaps.
• Coordinate with internal engineering and infrastructure teams to deploy, scale, and monitor pipelines in production.
• Deliver on tight customer timelines, managing sprint cycles and iterative improvement phases.

Required profile

• Strong interest in both machine learning and clinical oncology data.
• Ability to work independently, dive deep into technical and domain details, and meet deadline pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional coordination with customers and internal teams.

Required skills

• Experience with building and deploying machine‑learning pipelines.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, model fine‑tuning, and rule‑based post‑processing.
• Proficiency in handling JSON data structures.
