German Teacher (Grades 9-12) – 2026-27

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated German Teacher for grades 9‑12 for the 2026‑27 academic year. The role involves delivering engaging language instruction, fostering intellectual and social growth, and supporting students to achieve academic success.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and Texas Education Agency standards, incorporating accommodations for diverse learning styles.
• Assess student learning through formal and informal testing, and adjust instruction based on assessment results.
• Collaborate with special‑education teachers to modify curricula and support Individual Education Plans.
• Utilize technology to enhance the teaching and learning process.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers, and sponsor approved extracurricular activities.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment, manage student behavior, and ensure safety of students and materials.
• Communicate regularly with parents, principals, and staff through conferences and written updates.
• Participate in professional development and staff meetings, and comply with district policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements for German and secondary education.
• Strong knowledge of the German language curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
