Grants Officer – Part‑time Hybrid

About the role

Omni Gym Africa is seeking a part‑time Grants Officer to join its hybrid team in Kampala. The role offers flexible work‑from‑home options while supporting the company’s mission to make fitness and nutrition accessible through technology.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research grant and fellowship opportunities aligned with the company’s objectives.
• Draft, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals and applications.
• Maintain accurate grant records, track budgets, timelines, and compliance requirements.
• Prepare progress, financial, and compliance reports for funders.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather program data and ensure funded projects are implemented effectively.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in grant administration, including documentation and compliance.
• Strong proposal writing and communication abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, business, finance, development studies or equivalent experience.
• Experience with NGOs, social enterprises or impact‑focused organisations, preferably in health, fitness or technology.
• Ability to work independently, meet multiple deadlines and coordinate with both onsite and remote colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office tools such as spreadsheets, word processing and online project‑management platforms.
• Solid finance and analytical capabilities for budget development and tracking.
