About the role

The Head of Investment Banking will lead the Debt Financing Solutions (DFS) capability for Stanbic Bank Uganda, overseeing complex client engagements and internal partnerships. This senior executive role is responsible for designing and delivering client‑centric debt solutions that drive revenue, market share, and the CIB brand reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and deliver DFS across multiple portfolios and high‑complexity clients.
• Design and implement end‑to‑end debt solutions that meet the origination promise and client experience standards.
• Originate, structure and execute debt financing transactions aligned with global strategy.
• Develop and expand internal stakeholder networks to identify cross‑sell opportunities and drive pipeline growth.
• Maintain external stakeholder relationships to stay abreast of market trends and enhance brand reputation.
• Oversee pitch‑book preparation, approve final proposals and provide expert opinions for client engagements.
• Lead client meetings as the trusted debt‑solutions advisor, delivering insights and best‑in‑class recommendations.

Required profile

• Executive‑level experience with at least 12 years (144 months) in investment banking or debt financing.
• Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and growing market share.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate market trends into actionable business plans.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
