Health Center Manager

About the role

The Health Center Manager will provide strategic direction and operational leadership for AAR Healthcare Uganda’s outpatient facilities. This senior role combines clinical oversight, financial management and staff development to ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective health services for members and walk‑in clients.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure consistent, high‑quality outpatient service delivery and compliance with treatment protocols, drug formularies and SOPs.
• Lead, develop and supervise health centre staff, managing rosters, performance and professional growth.
• Develop and implement annual operating plans, budgets and cost‑control measures, monitoring financial and clinical reporting.
• Oversee claims processing, revenue generation and profitability while maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
• Perform radiology duties including ultrasound scanning, equipment checks, imaging documentation and audit of scan reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Medicine or Nursing with proven experience managing a large outpatient unit.
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in non‑government health management is an advantage.
• Demonstrated leadership, business acumen and ability to drive results in a multidisciplinary health‑care environment.
• Strong analytical, communication and conflict‑resolution skills.

Required skills
