HR Generalist

About the role

The HR Generalist will own the end‑to‑end employee journey, partnering with managers to ensure people decisions are informed, timely and supportive. You will help build talent pipelines, manage recruitment partners and deliver onboarding experiences that enable new hires to contribute confidently from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full employee lifecycle, providing managers with practical insights for people decisions.
• Develop and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and hard‑to‑fill roles.
• Manage relationships with external recruitment partners to secure quality candidates.
• Represent the organisation at career fairs and networking events.
• Deliver effective onboarding that accelerates new‑hire integration.
• Partner with managers to equip new employees for success from day one.
• Drive performance‑management processes, ensuring clear expectations and accountability.
• Support HR initiatives that boost engagement and capability.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure optimal use of HR systems.
• Promote a culture where people thrive and contribute to business success.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in a generalist HR operations role covering the full employee lifecycle.
• Proven ability to support and challenge managers with sound judgement.
• Clear, direct and respectful communication style.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to earn trust across teams.
• Organised, dependable and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Resilient, resourceful and a "let's get it done" attitude.
• Passion for helping people succeed and a curiosity for continuous improvement.
• Willingness to travel across Africa as needed.
