HR Manager – Uganda (F/H/X)

About the role

Join the Africa Human Resources Department of Canal+ Group as the HR Manager for Uganda. You will supervise an HR assistant, support around forty employees and ensure the Group’s HR strategic guidelines are applied locally.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement HR strategy, gather needs from all departments and validate project plans.
• Provide guidance on labor law, recruitment, contracts, onboarding, performance reviews, compensation and disciplinary procedures.
• Oversee payroll administration, social declarations and ensure compliance with legal obligations.
• Develop HR dashboards, monitor absenteeism, training, compensation and other staff metrics.
• Prepare the social report, collect data, analyse indicators and communicate results.
• Lead negotiations with employee representative bodies and manage collective agreements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Employment Law or Social Sciences.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, with prior HR Manager responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge across HR disciplines (development, payroll, labor law) and ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, rigor, responsiveness and initiative.
• Experience with payroll software; proficiency in Sage is a plus.
