IB MYP & DP Psychology and Sociology Teacher

About the role

Our client, a well‑established international school in Kampala, is seeking an enthusiastic teacher to deliver Psychology and Sociology across the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). The role involves inspiring students through inquiry‑based learning and contributing to the wider school community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess IB MYP and DP Psychology and Sociology lessons.
• Develop engaging, inquiry‑driven curriculum resources.
• Maintain accurate student records and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and school initiatives.
• Participate in parent‑teacher meetings and school events.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or valid teaching licence).
• Experience teaching Psychology and/or Sociology within the IB MYP/DP or a comparable secondary curriculum.
• Relevant degree in Psychology, Sociology or a closely related field.
• Commitment to high‑quality teaching and continuous professional development.
