Import/Export Operations Trainee

About the role

Join DHL Global Forwarding in Kampala as an Import/Export Operations Trainee. You will support daily administrative tasks, assist customers with import/export procedures, and help ensure smooth documentation flow through relevant authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support for import and export processes.
• Prepare, reconcile, and consolidate documentation for customs clearance.
• Capture and enter data into the operating system, set up master data for transactions.
• Screen paperwork, update records, and assist with archiving.
• File import/export entries and maintain customer part lists.
• Support operational systems and perform back‑office duties such as scanning and reporting.
• Collect data for performance reports and monitor routine issues, escalating when needed.

Required profile

• Vocational, specialized or technical education (certificate or diploma).
• Less than 2 years of relevant experience.
• Individual contributor able to follow defined processes and work under supervision.
