Information & Knowledge Management Consultant – Ebola RCCE (6.5 months)

About the role

UNICEF is looking for a Ugandan national consultant to strengthen information and knowledge management within the national Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) pillar for Ebola preparedness and response. The 6.5‑month assignment will combine office‑based work in Kampala with remote activities and occasional travel to support data‑driven decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the RCCE pillar’s information management, knowledge sharing and reporting processes.
• Develop, maintain and update dashboards and visualisation tools for Ebola preparedness and response.
• Collect, analyse and synthesize community feedback, social listening and behavioural data to inform programme adjustments.
• Produce regular monitoring reports, evidence briefs and data summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate knowledge exchange between the Ministry of Health, UN agencies, NGOs and other partners.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Informatics, Knowledge Management, Monitoring & Evaluation or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in information/knowledge management, M&E, public‑health intelligence or emergency response.
• Demonstrated experience supporting public‑health emergencies, preferably Ebola, COVID‑19 or similar outbreaks.
• Proven ability to work with government institutions, UN agencies and NGOs.

Required skills

• Advanced data management and analysis.
• Dashboard development and data visualisation using Power BI and Tableau.
• Quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
