About the role
The Information Technology Officer will support the development, usage and maintenance of ICT within Manafwa District Local Government, ensuring that technology services meet the institution’s operational needs.
Key responsibilities
- Establish long‑term information system needs, promote ICT proliferation, and advise management on appropriate strategies.
- Provide technical support and guidance on procurement, utilization, and maintenance of ICT hardware and software for the institution.
- Advise on technical installation, set priorities, define standards and procedures, and manage telecom equipment and systems.
- Ensure confidentiality, security, and reliability of the information system.
- Maintain all computer hardware and software in accordance with established national standards.
- Review, design, implement, and maintain robust Local Area Network and Wide Area Network systems for the institution.
