International NRW Strategy and Performance-Based Contract Adviser

About the role

AGX Technologies seeks an International NRW Strategy and Performance-Based Contract Adviser to join its on‑site team in Kampala. The adviser will guide utility clients and infrastructure partners in reducing non‑revenue water (NRW) through strategic planning, data‑driven analysis, and performance‑based contracting.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current NRW levels, operational practices, and water loss data.
• Analyse system performance and identify technical, operational, and contractual measures to minimise water losses.
• Design performance‑based contract frameworks, including KPIs, incentive structures, risk allocation, and compliance monitoring.
• Collaborate with utility leadership, engineering, and commercial teams to align NRW strategies with broader infrastructure initiatives.
• Prepare concise reports, presentations, and capacity‑building materials for stakeholders.
• Coordinate with AGX project managers to ensure integration of NRW strategies into connected‑infrastructure projects.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in non‑revenue water management, water loss analysis, and leakage detection.
• Proven experience designing and managing performance‑based contracts for utilities.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using spreadsheets, analytics platforms, or specialised NRW software.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and communicate technical and commercial advice clearly.
• Solid understanding of water‑utility infrastructure, metering, network management, and relevant regulatory environments.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Relevant academic background in engineering, water resources, environmental management, economics, or a related field.
