International Operations Manager (IOM)

About the role

The International Operations Manager (IOM) supports the delivery of UNFPA’s country programme, contributing to the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. Reporting to the Representative, the IOM leads strategic planning for operations, manages outsourced services and ensures efficient delivery of financial, procurement, IT, travel, logistics and common services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Business Operations Strategy for the country office.
• Oversee financial management, procurement processes, IT services, travel and logistics functions.
• Coordinate with regional experts on safety, security and human resources.
• Collaborate with other UN agencies, funds and programmes to align operational activities.
• Provide advice on compliance, cost‑effectiveness and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing complex operational portfolios in an international development context.
• Strong understanding of UN procurement, financial and logistical standards.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and regional experts.
• Demonstrated capacity for strategic planning and performance monitoring.
