Language Specialist Annotator

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Language Specialist to annotate, review, and validate language data for advanced AI and NLP systems. The role involves ensuring accuracy, consistency, and cultural relevance across multilingual datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Annotate and review text, speech, or conversational datasets.
• Label data for parts of speech, sentiment, intent, and syntax according to project guidelines.
• Ensure cultural and contextual appropriateness of annotated data.
• Develop and refine annotation guidelines.
• Conduct quality‑assurance and inter‑annotator agreement checks.
• Provide feedback to improve workflows and annotation standards.
• Support multilingual or domain‑specific annotation projects when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Languages, or a related field.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in the target language(s).
• Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and language structure.
• Experience in linguistic annotation or data‑labeling projects.
• Familiarity with NLP concepts and AI workflows.
• Multilingual capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with annotation tools such as Label Studio, Prodigy, and ELAN.
