About the role

The Lead Central Planning and Control will design and oversee Spiro’s energy network, ensuring battery‑swapping stations and related infrastructure are strategically placed to meet demand while maximizing asset utilization. This senior position blends high‑level network analytics with soft management of cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable service across the Kampala region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the strategic layout of swapping stations and energy infrastructure for optimal geographic coverage and customer uptime.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of batteries and swapping equipment, driving high utilization rates and minimizing downtime.
• Conduct deep‑dive demand analyses and use data‑driven insights to forecast energy requirements across the network.
• Implement robust monitoring frameworks to track asset movement, health, and rotation, preventing loss.
• Identify bottlenecks in the distribution chain and lead lean initiatives to improve network efficiency.
• Collaborate with local operations and manufacturing teams to align network growth with vehicle deployment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in network planning, asset control, or central planning within a fast‑paced environment.
• Background in startup program management, especially handling physical assets or complex logistics.
• Demonstrated ability to lead direct teams and soft‑manage large, diverse groups across functions.
• Experience working in structured environments with strong process compliance and safety standards.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in GIS (Geographic Information Systems).
• Expertise with network optimization software.
