Lead WMS / Supply Chain Systems Consultant

About the role

Humanitarians at Law (HAL) is seeking an experienced Lead WMS / Supply Chain Systems Consultant to join a technical team for a proposed Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation project in Uganda. The assignment will involve designing, configuring, integrating and operationalising a WMS to strengthen end‑to‑end inventory and warehouse management for a humanitarian organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the assessment and mapping of existing warehouse and inventory management processes.
• Support the design and configuration of an appropriate WMS solution.
• Oversee integration of the WMS with existing ERP systems.
• Support data migration, cleaning, validation and system cut‑over.
• Ensure appropriate workflows, user roles, approval processes and segregation of duties are incorporated.
• Support system testing, deployment and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical guidance during user training and system rollout.
• Develop implementation documentation, functional specifications and user materials.
• Provide technical oversight during the post‑launch hyper‑care period.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience implementing Warehouse Management Systems in Uganda.
• Demonstrated experience delivering end‑to‑end WMS implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management and supply‑chain processes.
• Experience working with humanitarian organisations, NGOs or complex operational environments is an advantage.
