Learning Officer – Innovation Lab (Uganda)

About the role

The Learning Officer will support the Uganda Response Innovation Lab (U‑RIL) in coordinating learning activities that feed evidence into Uganda’s refugee response. Working from the Save the Children office in Kampala, the role blends knowledge management with field engagement, including up to 30% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate learning activities across the two URRI consortia.
• Support the collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data, resources and evidence.
• Develop reports, mappings, digital solutions, events and publications that synthesize learning outputs.
• Work closely with the Learning Hub team to ensure systematic gathering and dissemination of evidence for refugee response actors.
• Contribute to thought‑leadership, nexus programming and policy influence through evidence‑based insights.

Required profile

• Strong team player who can also work independently.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Interest in humanitarian, innovation and refugee contexts.
• Ability to travel within Uganda for field activities.
