Lecturer in Civil and Environmental Engineering

About the role

Uganda Christian University seeks a full‑time Lecturer to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Water Engineering, and Environmental Engineering. The successful candidate will also be expected to conduct research, secure funding, and contribute to curriculum development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and tutorials in assigned engineering subjects and supervise student projects.
• Carry out research, publish findings, and obtain external research funding.
• Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessment tools.
• Participate in departmental committees, seminars, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
• Provide pastoral care and uphold the university’s Christian values.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Civil, Water Resources, Water, or Environmental Engineering from a recognized institution.
• At least two years of university teaching experience as an Assistant Lecturer or three years as a Tutorial Assistant.
• Evidence of scholarly output such as a publication or completed research project.
• Strong time‑management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Mature, committed Christian with a dedication to high‑quality teaching and research.
