Origin Coffee Trainee – East Africa

About the role

Join a 24‑month structured learning journey that rotates you across the coffee supply chain, from origin operations to international market exposure. You will gain hands‑on experience, mentorship and a capstone project that showcases your commercial judgment.

Key responsibilities

• Procurement & Quality – sourcing, supplier relations, cupping and grading.
• Sustainability & Compliance – traceability, certifications, ESG and EUDR compliance.
• Trading & Market Analysis – futures, options, price risk and market trend analysis.
• Logistics & Export Operations – shipment planning, documentation and customer delivery.
• Finance & Accounting – margin and cost analysis, working capital, trade finance and P&L computation.
• Capstone Project – identify and deliver a real business challenge to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (within 2 years) in Agribusiness, Economics or Finance.
• Maximum two years of work experience.
• Strong leadership potential and professional integrity.
• Willingness to be based in Kenya, Tanzania or Uganda and travel regionally.
• Fluency in English; Kiswahili or Luganda a plus.
