OT Staff Nurse

About the role

We are seeking an OT Staff Nurse to join our central sterile services department (CSSD). The successful candidate will support the sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments, ensuring compliance with infection control standards and assisting the operating theatre team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of instrument processing and monitor sterilization cycles.
• Collaborate with operating theatre staff to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies.
• Conduct routine inspections of sterilization equipment and report any issues.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and follow CSSD protocols.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a CSSD or similar sterile processing environment.
• Diploma or certification in CSSD preferred, or any relevant paramedical qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to infection control standards.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
