Paints Sales Specialist

About the role

The Paints Sales Specialist will manage existing client relationships and grow new business for Sunda International in Uganda’s eastern provinces. The role combines field sales, market research and close collaboration with technical teams to deliver tailored paint and hardware solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop relationships with all existing clients in the eastern provinces, following up on orders and providing solutions.
• Identify and acquire new customers in the local market to increase market share of paint and hardware products.
• Conduct market research, monitor trends and propose new product categories for the region.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets by creating and executing sales plans.
• Work with the technical team to offer professional support on product selection and technical specifications.
• Gather competitor information and market insights to refine sales strategies.

Required profile

• Quick, flexible, diligent and persistent with a strong learning attitude.
• Proven experience in the paints business and customer development.
• Willingness to build a long‑term career with the company.
• College degree (preferably mechanical engineering, materials, international trade or related fields).
• 2‑3 years of sales experience in the hardware industry, familiar with fasteners and tools.
• Excellent negotiation and customer management abilities.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to travel on short‑term business trips and work under pressure.

Required skills
