Part-Time Campus Substitute Teacher

About the role

This part‑time position provides classroom continuity when the regular teacher is absent. You will step into an existing classroom, follow the prepared lesson plans, and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment for students.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the classroom and deliver instruction according to the teacher’s lesson plans.
• Apply positive behavior‑management techniques and maintain order.
• Supervise students during recess or break times.
• Record student attendance and punctuality.
• Follow all county, state, and federal policies and professional ethics.
• Perform additional light duties assigned by the Principal, Operations, or Food Service staff.

Required profile

• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• No prior experience required; experience working with children is preferred.
• Physical ability to lift 30‑50 lb with assistance and push/pull up to 50 lb.
• Willingness to stoop or crouch as needed.
