Partnerships and Grants Manager

About the role

The Partnerships and Grants Manager will lead the grants and partnerships portfolio of a Sudan crisis localisation fund. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures strategic direction, compliance, and quality across the full grants lifecycle while guiding partner organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage grant application processes, including guidelines, templates, and evaluation criteria.
• Lead due‑diligence and vetting of partner organisations to meet donor and fund standards.
• Prepare and administer grant agreements and amendments in coordination with the Fund Management Unit.
• Design and oversee capacity‑building support for partners on grants management, compliance, and reporting.
• Oversee the rollout of the Fund Grant Management System and ensure timely fund disbursements, financial tracking, and risk management.
• Monitor grant implementation, ensure timely submission of financial and narrative reports, and maintain the Fund risk register.
• Maintain accurate grant documentation, coordinate review meetings, and follow up on action points.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing large‑scale grant portfolios and partnership programmes.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance, risk management, and financial tracking.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of specialists and officers.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and capacity‑building activities.
