Preschool Director

About the role

Cadence Education is seeking an inspiring Preschool Director to lead a vibrant early‑learning community. You will oversee a team of 20‑40 educators, ensure compliance with licensing standards, and champion a safe, joyful environment where every child can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, nurturing preschool atmosphere that supports child growth and curiosity.
• Implement and monitor a high‑quality curriculum that meets or exceeds national and state standards.
• Build strong relationships with parents, staff, and children to foster a tight‑knit community.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of educators through training, appraisals, and professional development plans.
• Achieve financial and enrollment targets while prioritizing quality of care.
• Represent the school at marketing events and community outreach initiatives.
• Ensure full compliance with licensing, safety, sanitation, and all relevant federal and state regulations.
• Recruit, hire, and retain top talent to sustain a high‑performing team.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in an early‑childhood facility with multiple classrooms and programs.
• Meets state licensing standards for a director, including background screening and fingerprinting.
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year supervisory experience and 6 months group childcare, OR a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education with 1 year supervisory experience and 2 years group childcare, OR an Associate’s degree with 1 year supervisory experience.
