Product Manager - Security (Automotive)

About the role

Canonical is looking for a Product Manager to lead the development of security‑focused automotive solutions. You will own the product lifecycle, work closely with cross‑functional teams and help shape the vision for secure vehicle technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the product development lifecycle, set priorities and define goals.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing and sales to align on priorities and keep execution on track.
• Conduct market research, analyse industry trends and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities.
• Communicate product vision, status updates and key decisions to stakeholders.
• Run usability testing, analyse feedback and iterate to improve user experience.
• Develop go‑to‑market strategies, create product documentation and provide training.
• Support the sales team in winning new opportunities and participate in customer meetings.
• Oversee consistency across product lines and facilitate collaboration across departments.

Required profile

• Exceptional academic results at high school and university.
• Understanding of Linux and the open‑source software community.
• Knowledge of computer architecture, application development, datacenters, cloud or devices.
• Strong work ethic, curiosity and continuous‑learning habit.
• Outstanding communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to four times a year.
