Product Manager - Security (Finance)

About the role

We are looking for a Product Manager specializing in Security for the Finance sector to lead the product development lifecycle and drive cross‑functional collaboration. The role will be based in Kampala and will involve shaping product strategy, conducting market research, and ensuring successful delivery of security solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the product development lifecycle, set priorities and goals for the security product.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, sales and support teams to align on priorities and drive execution.
• Conduct market research, analyse industry trends and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities.
• Communicate product vision, status updates and key decisions to stakeholders.
• Perform usability testing, analyse user feedback and iterate to improve the user experience.
• Develop go‑to‑market strategies, create product documentation and provide training.
• Support the sales team by reviewing customer feedback and participating in meetings.
• Oversee product line consistency across teams and resolve cross‑team conflicts.

Required profile

• Exceptional academic results at high school and university.
• Strong work ethic, curiosity and habit of continuous learning.
• Outstanding communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple projects or product lines while focusing on key priorities.
• Demonstrated leadership in aligning diverse teams and driving consensus.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to four times a year.

Required skills

• Understanding of Linux and the open‑source software ecosystem.
• Knowledge of computer architecture and application development.
• Familiarity with datacenters and cloud computing environments.
