Project Assistant – Education (3 positions)

About the role

The Project Assistant will support the Strengthening Transferable Skills, Resilience and Inclusive Development in Education and TVET programme across multiple districts in Uganda, working closely with project officers, teachers and local education authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate sub‑county and district education activities in partnership with project officers, teachers and local education officers.
• Organise workshops, trainings and mentoring sessions for teachers, literacy volunteers and community volunteers to improve enrolment, retention and completion.
• Track activity budgets, produce accurate reports and ensure compliance with the project log‑frame.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, advocacy initiatives and partnership building with local authorities and NGOs.
• Support the collection, documentation and reporting of children’s impact stories and vulnerability data.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Education (primary focus).
• At least 3 years of experience in education management and working with UN agencies.
• Minimum 2 years experience in community engagement and partnership work.
• Strong written and reporting abilities, computer literate and able to work independently.
• Committed Christian, active church member and holder of a valid riding licence.
