Project Coordinator – Self‑Reliance Module (WFP Project)

About the role

The Project Coordinator will lead the Self‑Reliance Module of the World Food Programme (WFP) project in Rwamwanja and Rhino Camp, overseeing project teams, technical delivery and field activities. Reporting to the Programme Manager, the role ensures that all components are implemented according to donor requirements, World Vision Uganda policies and local community needs. The coordinator will also supervise procurement, internal reporting and external liaison, ensuring alignment with community leaders and donor expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project planning, budgeting and implementation, developing annual and quarterly work plans and monitoring progress against targets.
• Provide business support and training to participants on income‑generating activities, market analysis and value‑chain development.
• Manage financial cash‑flow planning, expenditure monitoring and ensure compliance with donor and World Vision procedures.
• Coordinate with district authorities, UNHCR, WFP and other stakeholders to maintain effective partnerships and reporting.
• Oversee recruitment, orientation and performance management of project staff and volunteers.
• Monitor and evaluate project outcomes, preparing quality progress reports for donors and senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Forestry, Development Studies or a related discipline.
• Proven experience coordinating livelihood or agricultural development projects, preferably in humanitarian or refugee settings.
