Project Manager

About the role

World Vision Uganda is looking for a Project Manager to lead a climate‑smart agriculture initiative in refugee settlements in northern Uganda (Adjumani or Lamwo). The role will oversee planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting to improve food security and livelihood resilience for both refugee and host communities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed work plans, budgets, procurement schedules and implementation timelines.
• Coordinate project start‑up, ongoing activities, reviews and close‑out, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance on climate‑smart agricultural practices, soil and water conservation, and sustainable farming systems.
• Integrate agricultural extension methodologies into field activities and promote innovative food‑security interventions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local government, development partners, refugee settlement authorities and community groups.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, organizational policies and Ugandan regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing development projects, preferably in agriculture or humanitarian settings.
• Knowledge of climate‑smart agriculture and livelihood programming.
• Experience working with refugee and host communities and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• Strong budgeting, reporting and donor‑compliance skills.
