Project Officer – Livelihood

About the role

The Project Officer – Livelihood will guide the implementation of interventions that enhance self‑reliance for vulnerable populations, including refugees and host communities, through consumption support, food security, VSLAs, asset transfer, market‑oriented skills and business mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update annual activity plans, oversee implementation to high standards and ensure compliance with timelines.
• Train and mentor community‑based trainers, coaches and participants on agronomy, market analysis, value‑chain development and business mentorship.
• Provide technical assistance on enterprise selection, asset transfer, VSLAs and income‑generating activities.
• Coordinate with district technical staff, UNHCR, OPM and other stakeholders to integrate livelihood activities with broader project components.

Required profile

• Experience working on livelihood, agriculture or economic empowerment projects in humanitarian contexts.
• Ability to engage with refugees, host communities and multiple stakeholders effectively.

Required skills

• Knowledge of agronomy, market analysis and value‑chain development.
• Experience facilitating VSLAs, asset transfers and business mentorship.
