Proposal Writer and Fundraising Trainee

About the role

The Proposal Writer and Fundraising Trainee will support TechBuzz Hub’s mission by developing high‑quality proposals and fundraising documents. Working full‑time from the Kampala office, the role combines technical writing, RFP management and strategic communication to help secure resources for early‑stage enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, edit and submit proposals and grant applications in response to RFPs.
• Conduct research to identify business and funding opportunities aligned with the hub’s focus on technology and entrepreneurship.
• Articulate project problems, gaps and opportunities to shape program design and objectives.
• Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks, including logic models, theories of change and log‑frames.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals meet technical and financial requirements.

Required profile

• Current or completed degree in Business, Communications or a related field.
• Strong interest in entrepreneurship, technology and capacity‑building initiatives.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and time‑management skills.
