Proposal Writing & Fundraising Trainee

About the role

TechBuzz Hub is seeking a full‑time Proposal Writing and Fundraising Trainee to support its mission of nurturing early‑stage enterprises in Kampala. The trainee will assist in developing high‑quality proposals, managing RFP submissions, and contributing to fundraising initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and finalize project proposals and grant applications.
• Prepare and submit responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Research potential funding opportunities and identify business prospects.
• Design monitoring and evaluation tools such as logic models, theories of change, and log‑frames.
• Collaborate with the team to articulate problems, gaps, and project objectives.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong interest in entrepreneurship, technology, and startup ecosystems.
• Attention to detail, good time‑management, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proposal writing and management.
• Technical writing and RFP submission.
• Design of monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
• Budgeting and basic financial literacy.
