Quantitative Data Analyst – Kampala (Ugandan Researchers Only)

About the role

The Evaluation Unit of Bodmando Consulting Group is looking for a detail‑oriented Quantitative Data Analyst to support quantitative research design, data management, statistical analysis and reporting across multiple consultancy assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Support design of quantitative research methodologies, sampling approaches and survey instruments.
• Develop and program data collection tools using KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO or similar platforms.
• Monitor incoming survey data, perform routine quality checks and manage datasets.
• Clean, code, validate, merge and analyse quantitative data using SPSS, Stata, R or Python.
• Produce statistical outputs such as frequencies, cross‑tabulations, means, confidence intervals and disaggregated analyses.
• Interpret findings and translate them into clear tables, graphs, dashboards and report sections.
• Support triangulation with qualitative and secondary data and contribute to evaluation reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Monitoring & Evaluation or a related quantitative field (post‑graduate qualification advantageous).
• 2–3 years demonstrated experience in quantitative data management and statistical analysis.
• Strong competence in at least one statistical package (SPSS, Stata, R or Python).
• Experience with electronic data collection platforms such as KoboToolbox, ODK or SurveyCTO.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to create clear visualisations.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
