Resident Substitute Specialist – Math Intervention

About the role

The Upland Unified School District is seeking a Resident Substitute Specialist to provide targeted math intervention for students across the district. This part‑time (75%) position runs from an immediate start date through May 2027 and supports the Eligibility Pool for substitute specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver math intervention instruction to students identified as needing additional support.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention strategies with curriculum goals.
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and intervention activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Valid 30‑day teaching permit; multiple‑subject, single‑subject mathematics, or related field preferred.
• Current letters of recommendation (two) dated within the last twelve months.
• Ability to start as soon as possible and commit through May 2027.
