Risk and Compliance Officer

About the role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead Olea's compliance culture, ensuring the business meets all regulatory obligations while strengthening internal controls. You will act as the central point for risk and compliance matters, supporting the growth of the broker and protecting client interests.

Key responsibilities

• Keep Olea aligned with regulatory obligations under the IRA, FIA, NITA, URSB and other relevant authorities.
• Review, update and strengthen internal policies and procedures to meet evolving regulatory requirements.
• Ensure business documentation complies with applicable legal and regulatory standards.
• Monitor and maintain the KYC process in line with Group standards.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting, monitor filing deadlines and ensure timely submission of statutory returns.
• Design and roll out risk and compliance frameworks and internal controls that balance local requirements with Group policies.
• Conduct internal audits to test compliance with company procedures and external regulations.
• Build a genuine risk and compliance culture through training and support for colleagues.
• Handle corporate secretarial matters, including statutory registers, board documentation and filings with URSB.
• Identify issues early, develop remedial plans and take on additional projects as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Insurance, Banking, Risk Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in risk, compliance or related functions.
• Knowledge of insurance regulation and the financial services sector is an advantage.
• Professional qualifications in Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit or Insurance are a plus.
• Strong critical‑thinking ability and confidence to communicate and influence at all levels.
• Collaborative, adaptable mindset with a genuine curiosity for learning and improvement.
