Sales Agent – Insurance (Kampala)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Kampala and focuses on selling insurance products to individuals and businesses. The Sales Agent will act as the primary point of contact for prospective clients, guiding them through the entire sales journey.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect potential clients through calls, visits and networking.
• Present, explain and demonstrate insurance products and related services.
• Follow up on leads, provide accurate product information and close sales to meet targets.
• Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with customers, handling inquiries and concerns.
• Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on product offerings, compliance and best practices.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer‑service experience with the ability to resolve inquiries.
• Proven sales ability, including lead generation, negotiation and meeting targets.
• Knowledge of insurance products or willingness to learn.
• Openness to continuous learning and training.
• Previous experience in sales, insurance or related fields is an advantage.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kampala, manage time effectively and stay organized.
• Minimum high school diploma; post‑secondary education in Business, Marketing or related field is beneficial.
