Sales Associate (Advertising & Marketing)

About the role

The Sales Associate is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Kampala. You will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and maintain client relationships, and present agency services that match client marketing goals.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect new leads, conduct cold outreach and qualify opportunities.
• Schedule and attend client meetings, prepare proposals and quotations, and follow up to close deals.
• Coordinate with creative and account‑management teams to ensure client needs are communicated accurately.
• Track sales activities, performance metrics and produce regular sales reports.
• Represent the agency at events, networking functions and client presentations.

Required profile

• Strong sales and business‑development abilities, including prospecting, lead qualification and closing.
• Good knowledge of advertising and marketing concepts and ability to discuss campaign strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building long‑term client relationships.
• Organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple leads, meetings and follow‑ups.
• Previous experience in sales, account management or client‑facing roles; advertising experience is a plus.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Competence in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with email platforms and basic digital productivity tools.
