Sales Engineer – Diesel Generators (TAFE)

About the role

Ready to grow your career in power equipment sales? We are looking for a driven Sales Engineer to expand the market for TAFE Diesel Generators across Uganda. You will work closely with contractors, developers, consultants and commercial clients to understand their power needs and provide the right generator solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for diesel generators across Uganda.
• Visit customers and generate enquiries, preparing quotations and negotiating commercial terms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, consultants and commercial clients.
• Track upcoming construction and infrastructure projects that require backup power.
• Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets and report on pipeline activity.
• Travel extensively throughout Uganda to meet customers and expand market presence.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• 4 to 6+ years of B2B sales experience in engineering or industrial products.
• Proven ability to generate new business, meet sales targets and manage customer relationships.
• Strong network among contractors, developers, consultants and procurement teams in Uganda.

Required skills

• Knowledge of diesel generators and power equipment.
• Understanding of building materials, electrical cables, switchgear and related industrial sectors.
