Sales Executive – Shipping & Logistics

About the role

Pacific International Lines (PIL) is seeking a proactive Sales Executive to drive export and import business from our Kampala office. You will be responsible for generating new sales opportunities, converting leads into customers, and supporting the overall growth of our maritime services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and edit commercial reports, conduct data analysis and identify sales leads.
• Utilise CRM/LMS tools to manage customer information and track opportunities.
• Secure import and export business, follow up on import manifests and manage TBL conversions.
• Collaborate with documentation teams to ensure smooth order processing and high customer satisfaction.
• Conduct market research to pinpoint potential clients and monitor industry trends.
• Maintain accurate freight rates, issue work orders, and update freight contracts.
• Resolve freight discrepancies, issue Freight Correction Advice (FCA) and ensure correct billing.

Required profile

• Quick learner with strong adaptability to company systems.
• Detail‑oriented, results‑driven and able to work under high operational pressure.
• Team player with excellent coordination and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of sales or customer‑service experience in shipping, logistics or a related discipline.
