Sales Representative (Insurance)

About the role

The Insurance Agency is seeking a full‑time Sales Representative to work on‑site in Kampala. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging and converting potential B2B clients, managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect new business through calls, visits, networking and events.
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales pitches, proposals and presentations.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities and client interactions in a CRM system.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and performance metrics.
• Gather market feedback, contribute to sales strategies and represent the company at industry events.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B client relationship management, negotiation and closing sales.
• Ability to conduct effective prospecting and follow‑up via phone, email and in‑person meetings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of recruitment, advertising or marketing concepts and a willingness to learn industry specifics.
• Excellent time‑management, organization and problem‑solving abilities.
• Comfort working on‑site in Kampala, visiting client locations and attending networking events.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent practical experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools.
• Competence in standard office software (email, spreadsheets, presentations – e.g., Microsoft Office).
